Level 1 Inspection
As professional certified chimney sweep company we recommend the LEVEL 1 inspection for chimney or fireplaces that are in continuous service under the same condition and continued use. In the LEVEL 1 inspection our technician will verify and note the accessible portions of the chimney and fireplaces inside and out visually, accessibility to the devices or appliances which allows to us to determine carefully each connection and condition. Also our technician will notify to the client on the main base of the structure and the chimney flue which will ensure better performance and efficiency when in use.
As part of the LEVEL 1 inspection will verify that the chimney is fully free of any obstruction and contamination of combustibles deposits, which allows better airflow and prevent any toxic gases such as carbon monoxide.
Level 2 Inspection
Also we recommend LEVEL 2 inspection for those have made some kind of change in the system, as change in the type of fuel, change on the structure or added materials and installed, ( the relining flue or replacement) or any addition device.
LEVEL 2 inspection is required for anyone considering sale or transfer the properly, any malfunction operation or external problems caused or provoked by incidents, such as chimney fires, building fires, seismic incident as well as weather events. All these defects or damage we are mentioned are all indicator that the chimney inspection is warranted.
The LEVEL 2 inspection include everything we have mentioned before of the LEVEL 1 inspection, plus accessibility to the chimney such as exterior and interior, including the attic, crawlspace and basement.
Level 3 Inspection
A LEVEL 3 inspection includes all the areas and items we have mentioned before in a LEVEL 1 and a LEVEL 2 inspection, as well as the removal of certain components of the building or chimney where necessary. Removal of components (such as chimney crown, interior chimney wall) shall be required only when necessary to gain access to areas that are the subject of the inspection. When serious hazards are suspected, a LEVEL 3 inspection may well be required to determine the condition of the chimney system.
